Agartala, March 28: The state budget proposed for the financial year of 2025-26 shall play a crucial role in improving the socio-economic condition of the people of the state of Tripura, said SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das on Friday.

Participating in the general discussion on the state budget as proposed by the finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy, the minister said that the state government has taken various steps to improve the quality of animal health services.

“55 new mini mobile veterinary units will be commissioned from FY 2025-26. Rs. 4.50 Crore have been allocated for this. Gomati Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited has been allocated a budget of Rs 2 crore for setting up a new milk production project at Bamutia,” he said.

He said, “The state government is implementing various schemes for the development of the people of the backward parts of the state. Special emphasis has been given to make women financially self-reliant. Various schemes are being implemented for the poor and financially weak people in the villages.”

The Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister said that Tripura is moving towards development at a fast pace with the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.
