Agartala, April 28, 2025: Professor Arunoday Saha, an eminent educationist and former Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, has been awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor. The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Professor Saha was recognized for his remarkable contributions to literature and education.

Known for his dedication to education and research, Professor Saha has significantly enriched the academic landscape of Tripura and the northeastern region of India. During his tenure as Vice-Chancellor, Tripura University achieved notable advancements in research and education.
