Agartala, May 09: The Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir (BTVM) on Friday celebrated Rabindra Jayanti through a colourful programme here in the school with the active participation of the students and teachers.
The celebration began from May 2 last in the school including some weeklong events and competitions on Solo Song, Solo Dance, Duet Dance, Fusion Dance in different slabs.
Programme organized by the primary section had began from 9 am, where eminent Vocalist and Dramatist Subhashis Chaudhuri was present, while the secondary section program was held at 11 am in MBB Auditorium Hall, where eminent Dancer of Tripura Ajanta Bardhan Roy was present as guest.
Addressing the programme, the principal of the school Swapna Shome emphasized on exploring the works of Kabi Guru. Both the programs were presided over by Debashis Chakraborty, Retd IFS, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra.
A rich cultural program was witnessed along with prize distribution for the events held on seven days of Rabindra Utsav. Rabindra Utsav showcased the creative and cultural part of India’s rich culture which Bhavan’s always inculcates.
