Agartala: May 29: Employees under Vision Plus, a subsidiary of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, have reiterated their demands for fair wages and stable employment. Today, they joined a deputation to the director of the Electricity Board, emphasizing their ongoing financial struggles and calling for policy changes.

According to a worker, around 600 employees have been engaged in various roles under Vision Plus for the past five years. Despite initial promises of annual salary increments, they claim their wages have remained stagnant. Additionally, they allege that they have not received salaries for the past six months, citing delays in disbursement from the electricity department.

In response, the workers have put forth three key demands:

1. Immediate payment of pending salaries

2. Abolition of the outsourcing system in favor of direct recruitment under the electricity department

3. Inclusion under labor laws to ensure consistent wage payments

The deputation reflects the workers’ ongoing efforts to secure fair compensation and stable employment, highlighting broader concerns regarding outsourcing practices and wage delays in the sector.
