Agartala, June 7: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Tripura government on Saturday issued transfer orders for 108 police officers across various ranks, including several Indian Police Service (IPS) and Tripura Police Service (TPS) officers. The reshuffle, involving Superintendents of Police (SPs), Deputy Superintendents of Police (Dy. SPs), and Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), aims to streamline policing and enhance law enforcement efficiency across the state.
DIGP (Northern Range) Rati Ranjan Debnath has been given additional charge as DIGP, AP (OPS-II), with supervisory responsibilities over TSR battalions 3rd, 6th, 8th, 12th, 13th, and 15th.
Desai Rushikesh Jaysing, previously Asst. SP North Tripura (attached to West Tripura), has been posted as Additional SP, Gomati district. SP MTF Kishan Kumar has been transferred and appointed as SP SCRB, replacing Timir Das, who will now head the MTF.
Additional SP (Rural), West Tripura, Dhruva Nath has been posted as Addl. SP (Urban), while Himadri Prasad Das, Dy. SP TPCB, will now take over as Addl. SP (Rural).
In sub-divisional changes, SDPO Amtali Shankar Das has been moved to the 11th Battalion TSR as Deputy Commandant. Parmita Pandey, Dy. SP (Special Branch), will take over as SDPO Amtali. Kumarghat SDPO Kamal Debbarma has been posted as Additional SP in North Tripura, and SDPO Ompi Tohiton Tripura will now serve as Deputy CO, DAR, Dhalai.
Raju Reang, SDPO Manu, has been shifted to the Special Branch as Dy. SP, while Utpalendu Debnath, Dy. SP (Probationer), Unakoti, will serve as SDPO Kumarghat.
Other key changes include Dy. SP Sepahijala Nourbahadur Reang now posted as SDPO Ompi, Dy. SP Khowai Prasenjit Roy as SDPO Manu, and Dy. SP Dhalai Sumudra Debbarma appointed SDPO Kamalpur.
The comprehensive reshuffle reflects the state’s focus on improving administrative effectiveness and policing performance.
