Agartala, June 13: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Friday officially released the top-10 merit lists for the 2024 Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations.

In the Higher Secondary category, a total of 20 students made it to the top-10 list. Joydip Rudra Paul from PM-Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial HS School topped the examination with 493 marks in the Humanities stream. The second rank was secured by Saptadipa Nath of PM-Shri Dharmanagar Government Girls’ HS School with 492 marks (Science). Eshita Sen of Jolaibari M.M. Girls’ HS School and Raktim Debnath of Prachya Bharati HS School jointly secured the third rank with 490 marks, both from the Humanities stream.

For Madhyamik, 25 students featured in the top-10 list. Antariksha Paul of Belonia Vidyapeeth HS School clinched the top position with a score of 490 marks. Indrani Bhowmik from Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir ranked second with 489 marks, while Sumit Debnath (Vivekananda Shishu Niketan) and Amit Das (Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan) shared the third spot with 488 marks each.

TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gon Chowdhury stated that the overall pass percentage stood at 86.53% for Madhyamik and 79.29% for Higher Secondary in results declared on April 30. After the review process concluded on May 30, the pass percentages slightly improved to over 87% and 81%, respectively.

Board Secretary Dulal Dey added that 3,155 Madhyamik and 2,925 Higher Secondary students qualified for the ‘Bachar Bachao’ (save the year) exam. So far, 1,782 Madhyamik and 1,851 Higher Secondary candidates have submitted their forms.

TBSE commended the efforts of students and educators for their performances and commitment.
