Agartala, June 15:
In a bid to strengthen public engagement and highlight key issues affecting citizens, the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee held a crucial meeting on Sunday at the party’s state headquarters. The meeting brought together district presidents, block presidents, and branch organization heads to strategize for a major public outreach initiative.

As per the directives of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), the Congress party will launch a door-to-door campaign across Tripura starting from June 22, 2025. During the campaign, party workers will distribute leaflets to households, raising awareness about critical issues such as unemployment, lack of job opportunities, rising crimes against women, and the overall socio-political situation in both the state and the country.

Addressing the meeting, Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha underlined the campaign’s core objective—informing the public about the alleged failures and corruption under the BJP-led government. He stated that the Congress party is committed to being the voice of the people and ensuring that governance remains transparent and accountable.

Saha emphasized the need for grassroots mobilization to re-establish the party’s connect with the masses. “This campaign is not just about politics; it’s about standing with the people, listening to their concerns, and taking their voices forward,” he said.

Congress leaders also urged party workers to actively participate in the outreach, ensuring that the message of the campaign reaches every corner of the state. They believe that citizen involvement and awareness are vital for fostering a strong democratic setup.

The outreach program is expected to cover both rural and urban areas, aiming to generate political dialogue and awareness among the public while building momentum for future political activities.
