Khowai, June 18: The state Animal Resource Development Department Minister Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed veterinary hospital at Singichhara in Khowai district.
Addressing the inaugural programme, the minister said that this hospital will play a pivotal role in the days to come by providing essential care and medical services to all livestock in the Khowai district. He said that livestock farming must be nurtured with proper medial care to ensure sustainable development.
The newly constructed veterinary hospital will also enhance veterinary services and contribute to economic growth of livestock farmers in the district, he added.
He said that the government aims to strengthen veterinary infrastructure to ensure better animal welfare and support the rural agrarian economy.
Chief Whip of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury and senior officials from the department were present in the programme.
