Agartala, June 18: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday honoured the top scorers of the TBSE and CBSE-conducted Vidyajyoti School examinations at a felicitation ceremony held at the auditorium of the Hapania International Fair Ground.
The event was organised by the School Education Department, where a total of 82 meritorious students were recognized for their outstanding academic performances.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized that students of Tripura are in no way behind in knowledge and intellect compared to other states. He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education by focusing on both academic excellence and overall personality development, including sports and social responsibility.
Dr. Saha highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the state government, including the promotion of digital education and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in learning. He said the government has expanded access to higher education by setting up various technical institutions and upgrading educational infrastructure across the state.
Dr. Saha outlined numerous initiatives of the government including introduction of NCERT curriculum, Conversion of schools to English medium, Launch of Super-30 and Vidyajyoti scheme, Free distribution of workbooks under ‘Prayas’ project and many others.
The Chief Minister congratulated the awardees and encouraged those who did not achieve expected results to view failure as a stepping stone to success. “True success lies in perseverance and determination,” he said. Dr. Saha urged students to adopt a well-rounded lifestyle and participate in constructive social activities, warning against the dangers of addiction.
