Agartala, June 21: The state tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Saturday inaugurated a mega blood donation camp here at Agrtala, organised jointly by the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited and Tripura AIDS Control Society.

“One who loves living beings, serves God”—this timeless saying reminds us that service to humanity is indeed service to the divine. Among the many noble ways to serve, blood donation stands out as a vital humanitarian and social responsibility, one that only humans can fulfil,” Chowdhury said.

The minister said that the initiative aims to address the emergency blood shortage in the state. While the government continues to take necessary measures, it is equally important for private institutions and social organizations to come forward and contribute actively to such life-saving efforts, he added.
