Agartala, June 23: In a significant boost to rural banking infrastructure, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) inaugurated two new state-of-the-art branches in Khowai District on Monday, reaffirming its commitment to bringing quality banking services to remote corners of the state.
The newly launched branches — TGB Khowai Office Tilla and TGB Chebri — were officially inaugurated by Khowai District Magistrate & Collector Shri Rajat Pant, IAS, in the presence of Miss Charu Verma, IAS (SDM Khowai), Shri Uttam Adhikari (Vice Chairman, Khowai Panchayat Samiti), Shri Satyendra Singh (Chairman, TGB), and Mr. Sujit Roy (Regional Manager – West, TGB).
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Shri Satyendra Singh emphasized TGB’s mission to ensure that rural citizens experience high-quality banking services equivalent to those available in urban areas. “Just as citizens in cities enjoy advanced banking facilities, rural people deserve the same. Our focus is to modernize rural banking infrastructure to deliver satisfaction, joy, and convenience at the grassroots level,” he stated.
Tripura Gramin Bank, with a business volume exceeding ₹14,000 crore and the largest branch network in the state, is rapidly emerging as a leading name among India’s Regional Rural Banks. Its services now rival those of nationalized commercial banks.
TGB’s push for digital transformation includes a wide array of customer-centric services such as:
- WhatsApp Banking
- SMS & Missed Call Banking
- Mobile and Internet Banking
- NEFT/RTGS & Core Banking
- UPI, PFMS, and Debit Card facilities
The inauguration marks another milestone in TGB’s journey toward full-scale digital and infrastructural modernization, bridging the urban-rural divide in banking services across Tripura.
