Belonia, June 24: A review meeting on the implementation of the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan in South Tripura district was held on Tuesday at the Belonia Circuit House. The session was chaired by Hon’ble Minister Shri Shukla Charan Noatia and focused on evaluating progress and strategizing further outreach, particularly among tribal communities.
Launched on June 15, the campaign aims to ensure access to government welfare schemes and essential public services across all 59 ADC villages in the district. The drive will continue till June 30 and targets marginalized groups, with a special emphasis on Scheduled Tribes.
During the meeting, Minister Noatia reviewed the coverage achieved so far and held detailed discussions on how to maximize inclusion. He emphasized the need for grassroots-level coordination to ensure that no eligible household is left behind.
Under the Janbhagidari Abhiyan, key services being delivered include ration cards, PRTC certificates, income and caste certificates, health insurance cards, and infrastructure development such as roads, drinking water, and electricity.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Minister Noatia stated that approximately 1.24 lakh tribal beneficiaries are expected to be covered under the campaign. So far, nearly 60% of the target population has been reached, with the administration operating in mission mode to achieve 100% coverage by the end of the campaign period.
The review meeting was attended by MLAs Mailafru Mog and Pramod Reang, South Tripura District Magistrate Mohammad Sajjad P, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Panchayat Samiti Chairpersons, MDCs, and senior officials from various government departments.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring inclusive development and participatory governance through this focused outreach initiative.
