Agartala, June 27: In a landmark development for education in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated the Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya (English Medium) in the West Taranagar area of Mohanpur. This marks the establishment of the first Chinmaya Mission school in the state, a significant milestone in promoting value-based education in the region.

The new institution has been set up under the aegis of the Chinmaya Mission, a globally renowned spiritual and educational organization founded in 1953 by Swami Chinmayananda. The Mission currently runs 83 schools, 9 colleges, and a university across 13 Indian states and several countries abroad. It also operates more than 300 centers worldwide, actively contributing to education, healthcare, and rural development.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Saha lauded the efforts of the Chinmaya Mission in nurturing young minds through a holistic approach to education.

“This is a proud moment for Tripura. The establishment of Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya will play a transformative role in shaping future generations with strong values and a global outlook,” said the Chief Minister.

Dr. Saha also took part in the ground-breaking ceremony of the Chinmaya Sundari Temple, which is set to become a spiritual and cultural landmark in the region.

The event was attended by Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ratanlal Nath, prominent educationists, and members of the Chinmaya Mission.

The Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya is expected to offer a curriculum that blends academic rigor with moral and spiritual values, contributing significantly to the educational landscape of Tripura.
