Agartala, July 1: To ensure efficient and citizen-friendly delivery of healthcare-related services, the Tripura government has brought all key health councils under one roof. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today inaugurated the newly established Health Council Building at the Dr. P. B. Memorial Complex in Bidurkarta.
The new facility houses offices of seven different health-related councils, a move aimed at centralizing services and reducing hassle for applicants.
Present at the inaugural ceremony were Additional Secretary of the Health Department Rajib Dutta, President of the State Branch of the Indian Dental Council Dr. S. M. Ali, Vice President Dr. Partha Roy Choudhury, Dr. Bholanath Saha, along with other officials from various levels of the Health Department.
Speaking to the media after the event, the Chief Minister said that earlier, these council offices were scattered across various health department buildings, which often caused inconvenience for citizens, particularly during the registration process. Bringing them together under one roof will help streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
“The government is working tirelessly to improve healthcare services in the state. Our doctors are putting in sincere efforts, and this integrated facility is aimed at supporting them in carrying out their responsibilities more efficiently,” said Dr. Saha.
