Agartala, July 03: In a major development to the state politics, the first time MLA from Nalchar Assembly Constituency Kishore Barman joined the cabinet of Dr Manik Saha and took oath as minister on Thursday here at Raj Bhavan in Agartala.
Governor Indrasena Reddy Nally administered the oath of office to Barman in presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and his cabinet colleagues.
Soon after taking oath, Barman said that he pursued education to stand by the side of the common people and hence he will always by the side of the people and ensure development.
