In a significant boost to youth employment, over 51,000 young people across India received appointment letters on July 12, 2025, as part of the 16th edition of the Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Mela scheme. This major initiative, aimed at empowering the nation’s youth, was marked by events held simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rozgar Melas were successfully organised in Jabalpur and Bhopal. At Jabalpur, appointment letters were distributed in the presence of Divisional Railway Manager Kamal Kumar Talreja, who expressed satisfaction with the event’s smooth conduct and enthusiastic participation. A total of 102 recruits from the Jabalpur Division received their letters, while 254 were handed out in the Bhopal Division, making 356 appointments on the West Central Railway alone.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed the newly appointed youth at around 11 a.m., congratulating them and reaffirming the government’s commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities. He highlighted Rozgar Melas as a key initiative supporting youth empowerment and nation-building.

In Bhopal, the event featured participation from Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and local leaders. Here, 51 recruits received appointment letters, expressing joy and gratitude for the stable government jobs secured through this scheme.

Appointees from both cities shared their happiness, with many thanking PM Modi for the opportunity. One recruit in Jabalpur, selected for the fourth time, praised the government’s employment schemes, while a Bhopal recruit highlighted the stability of the Indian Railways job.

Overall, the Rozgar Mela initiative has so far facilitated the distribution of over 10 lakh appointment letters nationwide, playing a vital role in tackling unemployment and fostering youth participation in India’s growth story.
