Mumbai, July 14 — In a significant development for Maharashtra’s administrative services, 12 officers from the state have been promoted to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, issued the official notification on Monday.

The officers promoted include Vijaysinh Deshmukh, Vijay Bhakre, Trigun Kulkarni, Gajanan Patil, Mahesh Patil, Pankaj Deore, Manjiree Manolkar, Asha Pathan, Rajlaxmi Shah, Sonali Muley, Gajendra Bawane, and Pratibha Ingle.

Congratulating the newly promoted officers, Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule took to X (formerly Twitter) and said, “Heartfelt congratulations. A proud moment for Maharashtra. Twelve officers from the Maharashtra Revenue Service have been promoted to the IAS by the Union Public Service Commission.”

He added that this promotion is a major milestone and will offer the officers greater responsibility and an opportunity to make the state’s governance more efficient, transparent, and people-centric.

“As Maharashtra’s Revenue Minister, I have always supported and encouraged our officers. Their dedication has been exemplary, and I consistently commend their work in the legislature,” Bawankule said.

He emphasized the crucial role of the Revenue Department, calling it the “backbone of Maharashtra’s administration,” and expressed confidence that the newly promoted IAS officers will contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.

“This achievement is a testament to the recognition and respect our officers have earned under the visionary leadership of Hon. Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis,” he added.

The promotion of these officers not only reflects their individual excellence but also highlights the growing importance of Maharashtra’s administrative cadre in national governance.
