Agartala, July 22: To ensure the smooth execution of the upcoming voter list revision process, the State Election Department today organized a day-long workshop at Pragya Bhavan for all 60 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) representing the 60 Assembly Constituencies in Tripura.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the state, Brijesh Pandey. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that the primary goal of the workshop is to ensure an error-free electoral roll and to familiarize the officers with relevant legal provisions.

He mentioned that the Election Commission regularly organizes such training sessions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of electoral operations.

Highlighting the critical role of AEROs, Pandey urged them to fully grasp all the necessary procedures and guidelines so they can, in turn, effectively train BLOs (Booth Level Officers) and other election-related personnel. He underlined that the responsibility of preparing a flawless voter list lies significantly with the AEROs.

Also present at the workshop was Additional Chief Electoral Officer U.J. Mog, along with senior officials from the State Election Department. The department issued a formal statement regarding the event later in the day.
