Agartala, August 10: A series of social and cultural programs were organized in Agartala’s Shibnagar area on Sunday to mark the 73rd foundation day of Shibnagar Modern Club and Amra Tarun Dal.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated the programme in presence of MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, AMC East Zone Chairman Sukhamoy Saha, along with local leaders and dignitaries.

As part of the celebrations, the Chief Minister inaugurated a voluntary blood donation camp, extending his best wishes to the donors. He described blood donation as one of the greatest acts of humanity — a priceless gift that can save lives. Dr. Saha praised the active role of clubs and organizers in such social initiatives and urged them to continue their efforts in the future.

In addition, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was observed, recognizing August as the month of independence.

The Chief Minister personally visited homes in the Shibnagar area to distribute national flags. He remarked that India’s independence was achieved through the supreme sacrifice and bloodshed of countless martyrs, and the national flag stands as a symbol of pride, honor, and unity for every citizen. He added that such initiatives deepen the spirit of patriotism.
