Agartala, Aug 11: The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Monday inaugurated a new 33 KV capacity power substation at Durga Chowmuhani.

The ₹9.76 crore project was funded by the Government of India and the World Bank, and implemented by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. A total of 10,945 consumers are set to benefit from the improved electricity supply under this initiative, said minister Ratan Lal Nath.

He said that with the commissioning of the new facility, areas including Durga Chowmuhani, Halhuli, Kuchainala, Chulubari, Bamonchhara, Dhanchandra, Mahavir, Chetrai, and Debichhara will now receive enhanced quality power services.

He emphasized that the government’s efforts to strengthen and modernize power infrastructure will continue to ensure reliable electricity for all.
