Agartala, Aug 31: In a major crackdown, police on Saturday night nabbed at least three persons including 2 women from Agartala railway station for allegedly smuggling ganja.

Police seized ganja weighing over 29 Kg from their possession and having a market value of approximately Rs 4 lakhs. The accused were identified by the police as 26 years old Neeraj Kumar of Bihar, 25 years old Jyoti Kumari of Uttar Pradesh and another 26 years old Hashna Begum of Assam. The accused were supposed to smuggle the contraband items to Bihar, police said.

Police further informed that a specific case has been registered against the trio under the NDPS Act.
