Agartala, August 31: Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday joined local residents and BJP workers at Booth No. 11 of the 4-Barjala Assembly Constituency to listen to the 125th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio programme Mann Ki Baat.
Chowdhury described the broadcast as a reflection of India’s vision and progress towards self-reliance. He said the programme has emerged as an important medium of communication between the Prime Minister and citizens, inspiring people across the country.
“The 125th episode is a landmark moment. It shows the Prime Minister as a caring and decisive leader whose initiatives are transforming India into a global power,” Chowdhury told reporters after the event.
During the broadcast, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the importance of the “Vocal for Local” campaign ahead of the festive season. Supporting the call, Chowdhury urged people to use Swadeshi products, stating that festivals gain greater meaning when celebrated with locally made items.
The gathering concluded with discussions among participants, who expressed appreciation for both the Prime Minister’s outreach and the Minister’s interaction at the grassroots level.
