Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB), Jamjuri Branch, in collaboration with NABARD, organized a successful Jansuraksha Campaign at South Murapara Gram Panchayat under Kakraban RD Block. The event witnessed the presence of over 100 enthusiastic beneficiaries, making it a grand success in promoting social security awareness.
The programme was graced by several dignitaries, including Mr. Satyendra Singh, Chairman, Tripura Gramin Bank; Mr. Diganta Kumar Das, Deputy General Manager, NABARD; Mr. Khokan Dey, District Development Manager, NABARD; Mrs. Payel Saha, Regional Manager (South), TGB; the Lead District Manager (LDM), Gomati District; and the Pradhan of South Murapara GP.
In their addresses, the dignitaries elaborated on the various Social Security Schemes launched by the Government of India, such as the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and the Atal Pension Yojana (APY). They also highlighted the importance of regular Re-KYC updates in PM Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts to ensure uninterrupted access to benefits.
The campaign included on-the-spot fresh enrollments under the above schemes, reflecting the positive response and active participation of the local population.
A key highlight of the event was the cheque distribution ceremony, where a sum of Rs. 2 lakhs was handed over to the nominee of Late Sabita Das, a valued customer of TGB Jamjuri Branch, who had enrolled under the PMJJBY scheme. This gesture underlined the true spirit and impact of social security schemes in safeguarding the lives of common citizens.
The campaign reaffirmed TGB’s commitment to financial inclusion and social welfare at the grassroots level.
