Rahimpur, Sep 8 — A Jansuraksha Camp was organised at Rahimpur Gram Panchayat by Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB), Boxanagar Branch, in the presence of senior officials from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), district administration, and banking sector.
The programme was graced by GM (FIDD) RBI, Mr. Onsing Marchang; ADM Sepahijala District, Mr. Upendra Jamatia; Regional Manager (South), Smt. Payel Saha; BDO Boxanagar; LDM Sepahijala District; along with dignitaries from RBI, various banks, and representatives of Rahimpur GP.
During the event, two cheques under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) claim were formally handed over to the nominees of the deceased beneficiaries. The gesture highlighted the government’s continued commitment to providing financial security to vulnerable families through social security schemes.
Speakers at the camp stressed the importance of enrolling in schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY, and APY to safeguard families against unforeseen financial risks. Officials also urged greater awareness and participation among rural households to achieve broader financial inclusion.
The camp concluded with interactive sessions, where villagers raised queries about various banking services, insurance products, and welfare schemes. Officials assured continued support to ensure maximum outreach of social security benefits in the district.
