Sepahijala, Tripura, Sept 25, 2025: A historic Mega Jan Suraksha Camp was organized today at the Community Hall of Nalchar RD Block under the initiative of Tripura Gramin Bank. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, as the Chief Guest.

Among the distinguished guests were Shri Kishore Barman, Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat, Higher Education & GA (Political), Shri Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director of Punjab National Bank, Smt. Supriya Das Datta, Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala Zila Parishad, along with senior officials and eminent personalities.

The programme commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem, followed by guest felicitation and ceremonial lamp lighting. Eminent speakers, including the Additional District Magistrate of Sepahijala, the General Manager of RBI, and Shri Satyendra Singh, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, highlighted the significance of social security schemes and their role in strengthening financial inclusion.

In his address, Hon’ble Governor Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to extending the benefits of financial inclusion and social protection to every section of society, especially the rural poor.

A key highlight of the event was the distribution of ₹2 lakh cheques to five nominees under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY). This showcased the effective implementation of these flagship schemes aimed at providing financial security to vulnerable families.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Regional Manager (South) of Tripura Gramin Bank. Following this, cheque distribution, inspection of stalls, and interactions with local beneficiaries marked the successful completion of the camp.

This Mega Jan Suraksha Camp reaffirmed that Tripura Gramin Bank is not merely a financial institution but a driving force in advancing social security, financial literacy, and rural empowerment across the state.
