Agartala, Oct 29, 2025: On the eve of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) organized a Blood Donation Camp on Wednesday at its Head Office premises in Abhoynagar, Agartala. The noble initiative witnessed an overwhelming response from the bank’s employees, who came forward voluntarily to donate blood for the welfare of society.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Shri Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao, IAS, Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura; Shri Raman Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Vigilance Officer, PNB Kolkata Unit; Shri Venkatesh V, General Manager, TGB; Shri Anup Kumar Saha, General Manager, TGB; and Shri Rabindra Debbarma, Chief Manager, Vigilance Division.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Gitte commended Tripura Gramin Bank’s efforts in organizing such a socially significant event and lauded the enthusiasm of the employees for their voluntary participation. He highlighted the importance of community service in building a compassionate and responsible society.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Anup Kumar Saha emphasized the relevance of vigilance in daily life, stating that awareness and alertness are essential not only during Vigilance Awareness Week but should be practiced consistently. “Vigilance is not the responsibility of one individual but a shared duty of all,” he remarked.
TGB, known for its pivotal role in uplifting the rural economy through financial inclusion and implementation of various government schemes, once again demonstrated its commitment to social welfare. The camp successfully collected around 80–85 units of blood, making it one of the largest blood donation drives organized in Agartala in recent months.
The event concluded with a sense of pride and unity among the staff, reflecting TGB’s continued dedication to both ethical conduct and community welfare.
