New Delhi, Nov 3: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani hailed India’s historic triumph in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, calling it a victory that embodies the nation’s spirit, grace, and the boundless dreams of millions of girls across India.

India clinched their maiden ICC Women’s World Cup crown with a commanding 52-run win over South Africa at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The triumph marked the culmination of years of perseverance, as captain Harmanpreet Kaur proudly lifted the trophy before a packed home crowd, ending India’s long wait for an ICC title.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Adani wrote, “Congratulations to Team India!! What a victory for Bharat and her daughters! This is not just a victory in cricket. It is a victory of spirit, of grace, of every girl who ever dared to dream.”

He further expressed his pride through a poetic tribute, stating, “Har gend pe josh, har shot mei jaan, yeh hai humari Team India — Proud of Team India: fierce, fearless, and forever Bharat.” (Passion in every ball, pride in every shot — this is our Team India, the identity of our nation.)

The victory was particularly emotional for skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who was one of five players competing in her fifth World Cup. Kaur made her international debut at the 2009 edition in Australia, where India defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets.

Following the win, several Indian cricket legends joined the celebrations on the field, as nearly 40,000 jubilant fans at the stadium witnessed a defining moment in Indian sports history — one that not only crowned the Women in Blue as world champions but also reaffirmed India’s growing legacy in women’s cricket.
