Jaipur, Dec 2 (IANS) — Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday held a series of high-level meetings in New Delhi, including with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and several key Union Ministers, to advance the state’s development priorities and review ongoing public welfare initiatives.

The Chief Minister began his visit by calling on Prime Minister Modi, during which he highlighted the progress made under Rajasthan’s double-engine government. He briefed the Prime Minister on public welfare schemes, governance reforms, and the state’s long-term development roadmap. CM Sharma said he was confident that under the Prime Minister’s guidance, Rajasthan would continue moving swiftly towards contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

Sharma later visited Parliament House, where he met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore. Their discussions focused on Rajasthan’s holistic development and improving the implementation of Central and state public welfare programmes.

The Chief Minister also called on Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. He provided updates on innovative governance practices, developmental initiatives, and significant progress in Rajasthan’s cooperative sector. Shah was apprised of new approaches being adopted to enhance public welfare and administrative efficiency.

CM Sharma then met J.P. Nadda, Union Health Minister and BJP National President, offering birthday greetings and discussing major health sector reforms underway in the state. The talks covered improvements in medical infrastructure, expansion of healthcare services, and the impact of Central schemes on Rajasthan’s health system.

Later, Chief Minister Sharma held a meeting with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Their discussions revolved around fiscal management, ongoing financial reforms in the state, and the benefits reaching the public through GST-related improvements.

The Chief Minister’s series of meetings underscored Rajasthan’s commitment to accelerating development through strong coordination with the Central government.
