Agartala, December 6, 2025:
Widespread disruptions in IndiGo’s flight operations across the country have led to severe chaos at Agartala’s MBB Airport. With flight schedules remaining unstable for several consecutive days, passengers have been facing extreme inconvenience and uncertainty about their travel plans.

After ten flights to and from Agartala were cancelled on Saturday, the situation worsened on Sunday as nine more flights were added to the cancellation list. The flights cancelled on Sunday include multiple routes: Agartala–Kolkata flights 6E 6956, 6E 419, 6E 6705, 6E 961 and 6E 6172; Agartala–Delhi flight 6E 6825; Agartala–Guwahati flight 6E 6053; Agartala–Bengaluru flight 6E 525; and Agartala–Imphal flight 6E 524.

IndiGo authorities claimed that passengers were informed of the cancellations through phone calls and text messages. However, many travellers complained of last-minute updates, leading to long queues, confusion, and overcrowding at the airport.

Airport officials stated that measures had been taken to manage the overwhelming rush of passengers, including strengthening basic facilities and deploying additional staff. Despite these efforts, the situation remained difficult to control as more passengers continued to arrive, hoping for alternate travel arrangements.

MBB Airport authorities appealed to travellers to remain in contact with their respective airlines for updated information. They also stated that after the cancellation of several IndiGo flights, the airport situation has gradually begun to stabilise. According to officials, all airlines have been working to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, while providing assistance to those stranded due to the ongoing disruptions.

The inconvenience, however, persists as passengers await clarity on when normal flight operations will resume nationwide.
