Agartala: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, along with Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, attended the traditional “At Home” cultural programme organised at Lok Bhavan, Agartala, on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of India.

The programme, held in a warm and celebratory atmosphere, marked the culmination of Republic Day festivities in the state. Senior government officials, elected representatives, members of the armed forces, freedom fighters, cultural personalities and prominent citizens were present at the event, reflecting the spirit of unity and democratic values enshrined in the Constitution.

Addressing the gathering informally, the Governor extended his greetings to the people of Tripura and reiterated the significance of Republic Day as a reminder of India’s constitutional journey and collective responsibility towards nation-building. He underlined the importance of harmony, inclusiveness and respect for democratic institutions in strengthening the republic.

Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha also conveyed his Republic Day wishes and highlighted Tripura’s progress in key sectors such as education, healthcare, women empowerment and infrastructure. He emphasised that the state government remains committed to inclusive development and welfare-oriented governance, ensuring that the benefits of growth reach every section of society.

The cultural programme featured vibrant performances showcasing Tripura’s rich and diverse heritage. Artists presented traditional music and dance forms, drawing appreciation from the dignitaries and guests. The performances celebrated the unity in diversity that defines India and highlighted the cultural ethos of the state.

The event also provided an opportunity for informal interaction among the Governor, the Chief Minister and invited guests, fostering goodwill and reinforcing the spirit of cooperation among various sections of society.

The “At Home” programme concluded with a reception hosted at Lok Bhavan, symbolising togetherness and mutual respect. The occasion served as a fitting tribute to the ideals of the Constitution and reaffirmed Tripura’s commitment to democratic values on the 77th Republic Day.
