Agartala, March 7: With the upcoming elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) approaching, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday stressed the need for coordinated efforts within the party to ensure the Bharatiya Janata Party forms the council government.

A key strategy meeting was held at the BJP’s state headquarters in Agartala, where senior party leaders discussed preparations and campaign plans for the forthcoming polls. Among those present were State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, BJP Janajati Morcha president Parimal Debbarma, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, and State BJP General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, along with other party leaders and legislators.

Speaking after the meeting, Chief Minister Saha said the discussion focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots outreach in tribal areas and ensuring effective coordination between the organizational leadership and elected representatives.

“This discussion was organized with the leadership of the Janajati Morcha and party legislators to plan how the party will work in the upcoming ADC elections. Our focus is on strengthening grassroots outreach and ensuring that the government’s development agenda reaches every tribal household,” he said.

Party leaders noted that the BJP has already intensified its campaigning efforts in ADC areas. A series of daily outreach programmes, public meetings, and interactions with local communities are being organized to mobilize support ahead of the polls.

According to party sources, the meeting was also aimed at aligning the party’s organizational structure with its broader election roadmap, ensuring that workers at every level actively participate in the campaign.

Political observers believe the BJP is seeking to expand its influence in the tribal council by highlighting various welfare schemes and development initiatives undertaken by the state and central governments.

The leadership has also urged party workers to remain united, disciplined, and proactive in reaching out to voters as the election process approaches, emphasizing that collective effort will be crucial for achieving success in the council polls.
