Agartala, March 29: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday chaired a State level Disha Committee meeting here in the conference hall of the secretariat and pitched for completion central project works within the specified time.
He said that the project implementing agencies must work by setting specific targets to complete the centrally sponsored project works. In the meeting, the current status, progress, future plans and new initiatives of the central projects implemented in the state were discussed in detail. Secretaries of the concerned departments presented detailed information about the current status of the ongoing central projects in the state.
The present state government believes in running the government with transparency. For proper implementation of various public welfare projects, it is necessary to make the people more aware of the benefits of the projects, Dr Saha said, adding that in this regard, the officials of the concerned department have an important role.
In this context, the Chief Minister stressed on taking necessary steps to inform the people of the state about the benefits of treatment under the Jan Arogya Yojana. He said that if there is any kind of problem in the implementation of the project, it should be resolved through discussion and move forward.
