Agartala, April 08: A tribal youth, staying in Gujrat for work, reportedly went missing on his way to his hometown at Sabroom in South Tripura district.

The 23 years old youths identified as Kalachand Tripura of Sabroom subdivision went to Gujarat about a year back for work. He was staying in Umargaon area under Bhalsad district of Gujrat.

Reportedly, on March 6 this year Kalachand had felt unwell and told his friend there that he would return home to Tripura before leaving for railway station. But since then his mobile phone went switched off and he is yet to reach his hometown in Tripura.

Worried by the incident, the family members got in touch with local administration and police but the officers in Sabroom police station told Kalachand’s parents that the matter was beyond their jurisdiction and they could not help even though they could easily register a case and contact their counterparts in Umargaon area under Bhalsad district of Gujrat. The incident has left the family members in deep worry.
