Agartala, April 18: The BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, accused in the National Herald case, in Agartala on Friday.
The BJP state president and also the MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, joined the protest rally and alleged that the Congress leaders were involved in large-scale corruption, warranting the chargesheet by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
In his address, Bhattacharjee alleged that Congress leaders had been looting money for decades. The ED had filed a chargesheet against them, considering the misappropriation of funds in the National Herald case.
“These leaders, who speak of patriotism and freedom had set up a company called ‘Young India’ where 76% of the shares are owned by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” he said, adding that the ED had submitted chargesheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on April 15 last in National Herald case.
He alleged that both Sonia Gandhi and son Rahul Gandhi used the public funs for their personal interest.
