Udaipur, July 26: A meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held on Saturday at the conference hall of the Gomati Zilla Parishad. Member of Parliament and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had chaired the meeting.

During the session, District Magistrate Rinku Lalthar presented updates on various ongoing development schemes across the district. Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, 109 projects have been initiated in Darjeeling ADC Village of Killa Block, out of which 95 have been completed. In Birganj Gram Panchayat of Amarpur Block, 111 projects were taken up, with 95 successfully completed.
Gomati district currently has 94,451 active job cards under the MGNREGA scheme. As part of the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), 1,890 families have received benefits during the current financial year. With the formation of 189 new Self Help Groups (SHGs), the total number of SHGs in the district has reached 7,435. Additionally, 449 individuals have received bank loans so far this year.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), of the 53,883 sanctioned houses, construction of 52,778 house has been completed. Under the PM Janman Scheme, construction of houses has been approved for 3,432 beneficiaries, with 3,042 homes already completed.
Officials from various departments—including MGNREGA, PMGSY, Power, Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture, Land Conservation, School Education, PWD, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Water Resources, Health, Forest, Social Welfare and Social Education, Rural Development, and Banking sectors—provided detailed progress reports on the implementation of their respective projects.

Gomati Zilla Parishad Chairperson Debal Debroy, TTAADC Executive Member Dolly Reang, MLAs Pramod Riang, Ranjit Das, and Jitendra Majumder, Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Sheetal Chandra Majumder, Amarpur Municipal Council Chairman Bikash Saha, Chairpersons of various Panchayat Samitis and Block Advisory Committees, Gomati District Superintendent of Police Vijay Debbarma, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Udaipur, Amarpur, and Karbook, Block Development Officers, and officials from all departments operating in the district were present in the meeting.

In his concluding remarks, MP Biplab Kumar Deb emphasized the importance of completing all central and state government-sponsored projects within the stipulated timelines to ensure timely benefits to the people.
