Agartala, August 11: On the eve of Independence Day, 14 officers and personnel of the Tripura Police will be honoured with the Chief Minister’s Medal for their outstanding contributions in various fields.

According to the Home Department, the medals will be awarded for exceptional service in categories such as intelligence, law and order, anti-terror operations, anti-drug campaigns, community policing, training, and sports achievements.

DIG (Intelligence) IPS Krishnendu Chakraborty will receive the medal for his notable contribution in intelligence work. For excellence in maintaining law and order, Kanta Jangir and Jayanta Karmakar will be honoured. Jeremiah Darlong will be recognised for his role in anti-terror operations, while Saugata Chakma will be awarded for his efforts in anti-drug operations.

Several other officers will also be felicitated for their achievements in community policing, training, and sports.
