Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) successfully organised a Jansuraksha Campaign today at Purba Andharchera Gram Panchayat under Pecharthal RD Block, aimed at spreading awareness and extending the benefits of various financial inclusion and social security schemes to rural citizens.
The programme was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Sri Satyendra Singh, Chairman of TGB, Sri Diganta Das, Deputy General Manager of NABARD, Sri Onsing Marchang, General Manager of RBI, Sri Kamales Dhar, Additional District Magistrate, Unakoti, Sri Onkar Deb, BDO Pecharthal, and Sri Sajal Chakma, Chairman of BAC, Pecharthal RD Block. Their participation highlighted the collaborative efforts of multiple institutions in strengthening financial literacy and inclusion at the grassroots level.
As part of the campaign, villagers were provided the opportunity to renew their KYC details and were onboarded into flagship Government of India social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY). These schemes are designed to provide financial protection, insurance coverage, and pension benefits to the underprivileged sections of society.
Adding further value to the initiative, TGB Banking Correspondents were present to assist villagers with account-related services, while the TGB Bank of Wheels vehicle was deployed to demonstrate doorstep banking facilities in remote areas. This innovative approach showcased how banking can be made more accessible to rural households.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers, who not only renewed their documents but also enrolled in new schemes ensuring better financial security for their families. TGB’s initiative was widely appreciated as a step towards strengthening the financial ecosystem in rural Tripura and promoting the vision of inclusive growth.
