Agartala, Sept. 19: The Tripura Legislative Assembly on Friday adopted three separate congratulatory resolutions lauding India’s success in ‘Operation Sindoor’ against terrorism, celebrating mountaineer Aritra Roy’s successful ascent of Mount Everest, and hailing Indian Air Force officer Shubhangshu Shukla’s space mission.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha moved the resolution on Operation Sindur, describing it as a defining moment in India’s battle against terrorism. “Through Operation Sindur, India not only gave a befitting reply to the inhuman massacres in the Kashmir Valley, but also demonstrated to the world that the country remains vigilant, strong, and, if necessary, will strike across borders at the enemy’s bases without hesitation,” he said.
The Chief Minister added that the operation, achieved under the resolute leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and well-coordinated strategy, would be remembered as a historic milestone. The House expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Defence Minister, National Security Advisor, Chief of Defence Staff, the heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, the Director General of the BSF, and to every soldier who has pledged to protect the motherland.
Youth and Sports Minister Tinku Roy moved the second resolution, congratulating Tripura’s young mountaineer Aritra Roy for scaling Mount Everest on May 19 this year. “Aritra Roy has brought glory to Tripura and made every resident of the state proud. His achievement will inspire the youth of our state and beyond,” he said.
The third resolution, moved by Science, Technology and Environment Minister Animesh Debbarma, congratulated Indian Air Force officer Shubhangshu Shukla on his journey into space. “Shubhangshu’s success has filled the entire nation with pride,” he remarked.
