Bamutila, Tripura – November 14, 2025: On the occasion of Children’s Day, Tripura Gramin Bank organized a special outreach programme at Harendranagar Tea Estate under Bamutila. Nearly 100 underprivileged students participated in the event, which was aimed at motivating young learners and encouraging their interest in education.

Senior officials from the bank’s Marketing Department and the local branch were present at the programme. The initiative was led by Chief Manager (Marketing) Shri Rajib Nayan, Manager (Marketing) Shri Jeet Bhattacharjee, and Branch Manager of Bamutila Branch Shri Tamal Debnath. They were joined by Assistant Manager Shri Bimal Debnath (Durgabari Branch) and officers from the Head Office Marketing Division, Shri Ricky Dutta and Shri Nishit Debbarma.

The event was also graced by noted local personality and former MLA Shri Krishnadhan Das, who praised the bank’s community-oriented efforts and encouraged similar initiatives in the future.

As part of its CSR activities, the bank distributed educational kits to 100 students. Each kit contained essential learning materials including pens, pencils, notebooks, and drawing supplies, all aimed at supporting the students’ daily studies and creative development.

A key highlight of the programme was an educational session on the history and significance of Children’s Day. Students learned about the importance of childhood, children’s rights, education, and welfare. They were also informed about the observance of Children’s Day in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on his birth anniversary.

Chief Manager Shri Rajib Nayan and Manager Shri Jeet Bhattacharjee reiterated the bank’s commitment to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. They said, “Children are the future of the nation. Investing in their education is an investment in the country’s progress.”

The event concluded on a joyful and inspiring note, with smiles of gratitude lighting up the children’s faces.
