Assam Rifles continued its Unity Ride – Bicycle Expedition on 26 November 2025, successfully completing the challenging second leg from Ambassa to Bagbasa with renewed zeal and motivation. The day’s journey began from Ambassa, a region renowned for its rolling hills, dense forests, and bamboo-covered slopes. The cyclists rode through the picturesque terrain that not only tested their endurance but also invigorated them with its natural beauty.

As the team progressed deeper into the verdant expanse of the Dhalai region, the soothing landscapes provided both inspiration and energy. The changing scenery—from thick forests to open clearings dotted with agricultural fields and rural settlements—offered a dynamic backdrop to the expedition. Despite the demanding terrain and long stretch ahead, the cyclists maintained high spirits, keeping their ‘Josh’ elevated throughout the journey.

Covering an impressive 92 kilometres in a single day, the participants demonstrated remarkable grit, discipline, and unwavering commitment. With every pedal, they continued spreading the core messages of national unity, physical fitness, and environmental responsibility—key themes of this expedition.

Local residents along the route extended heartfelt encouragement to the cyclists. Their warm support highlighted the strong bond between the civilian population and the Assam Rifles, further strengthening the sense of togetherness that the Unity Ride seeks to promote.

Beyond fostering community harmony, the expedition also carries a solemn purpose—paying tribute to the brave and innocent lives lost during the tragic events of 26/11. Through this symbolic journey, Assam Rifles continues to honour their memory while reaffirming its dedication to safeguarding the nation and promoting unity across diverse communities.
