Tripura Gramin Bank organised a Financial Awareness and Loan Distribution Camp on Tuesday at the premises of Mata Kashbeswari Kali Temple, focusing on promoting financial inclusion and expanding digital banking services among rural and semi-urban populations.
One of the key highlights of the event was the launch of a QR code facility for the temple’s donation (pranami) account, a step aimed at encouraging digital transactions and making contributions more convenient and transparent. Additionally, dummy cheques were distributed to beneficiaries enrolled under the PMJJBY and PMSBY schemes. QR codes and loan sanction letters were also handed over to recipients under the KCC, PM Suryaghar, and Advitiya schemes.
Addressing the gathering, all dignitaries emphasised the importance of financial literacy in empowering rural communities. They lauded Tripura Gramin Bank’s ongoing efforts to extend banking services to remote and underserved areas, highlighting the crucial role such initiatives play in strengthening economic resilience.
The camp witnessed participation from more than 200 customers, underscoring the community’s positive response and the growing awareness of modern banking facilities. Officials expressed hope that these initiatives would significantly enhance financial awareness and bring more people into the formal banking sector.
Among the distinguished attendees were District Magistrate Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, IAS; MLA of the Kamalasagar constituency Antara Dev Sarkar; Sub-Divisional Magistrate Binky Saha; Block Development Officer Nantu Deb; TGB Chairman Satyendra Singh; and Regional Manager Payel Saha. Their presence added momentum to the programme and reinforced the importance of collective efforts in achieving financial inclusion.
