Agartala: May 10: Agartala, May 10: Former legislator Burmohan Tripura, who represented the Korbuk Assembly constituency, has passed away at the age of 79. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer and breathed his last on Saturday morning at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital.
Following his demise, his mortal remains were brought to the Tripura Legislative Assembly, where several dignitaries gathered to pay their respects. Among those present were Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, MLAs Sudip Roy Barman and Deepak Majumdar, and Minister of State Brishketu Debbarma. Floral tributes were offered in remembrance of the late leader.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury recalled Burmohan Tripura as a humble and dedicated individual who worked for the development of Korbuk. Elected as an MLA on a BJP ticket in 2018, he made significant contributions to the region, earning appreciation from the local community.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved family, Minister Chowdhury acknowledged the loss as deeply impactful, emphasizing that his contributions would be remembered by the people of Korbuk.
