Agartala, April 08: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday claimed that the government is working for the development of the socio-economic status of the indigenous tribes in Tripura. Dr Saha welcomed at least 140 indigenous voters from 50 families in a party programme at Takarjala on Tuesday.
Addressing the programme, organised to mark the BJP foundation day, Chief minister Dr Saha said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working by paying due attention to the development of the indigenous tribes of the country. The BJP led coalition government in Tripura is also working in that line.”
“While the present government is working to maintain the bonding between the tribals and non tribals in Tripura, other groups ate in an attempt to create division in the communities,” Dr Saha said, adding that the BJP government is implementing the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Biswas, Sabka Prayaas’ for the development of the people of all walks of life in Tripura.
