Agartala, May 11: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated a blood donation camp here at Art of Living Office in Agartala Banamalipur and emphasised on the need of leading a health and stress free life through yoga practise.
The Art of Living, Tripura branch has organised the blood donation camp to mark 69th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr Saha said that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a pioneer of freedom from the way violence and conflict and stress in personal and social life are increasing all over the world. His guidance is very relevant today, Dr Saha said.
He said that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji’s way of establishing peace is good for the society. His philosophy and thought should be spread among the people, he added.
Dr Saha further said that Ravi Shankar Ji’s path of yoga practice and meditation to keep stress free and lead a healthy life is very important nowadays and this habit needs to be formed from childhood. The Chief Minister emphasized on developing this type of habit especially to create a drug free society.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister thanked the Art of Living Authority for organizing the blood donation camp. He said, such initiatives will encourage other organizations to come forward to donate blood. The Chief Minister mentioned in detail the various social service programs in the state including the education of Art of Living.
