Agartala, May 23: The state food and civil supplies minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday inaugurated a blood donation camp, organized by the BJP Mahila Morcha of 10-Majlishpur assembly constituency.
Addressing the programme, the minister said that serving people means serving God and one of the best ways is blood donation. This is a special social and humanitarian responsibility, which only mankind can provide, the minister added.
He further said, “It is very necessary for various social organizations or private organizations to get involved in this kind of social activity not only in party initiatives to solve the emergency blood crisis in the state.”
“I thank all blood donors from the bottom of my heart at this event today and thank others for encouraging blood donation,” he said.
