Agartala, May 15: The DYFI state committee on Thursday slammed the BJP led government in Tripura and alleged that the government has completely closed the doors of employment opportunities for the unemployed youths of the state.

Addressing a press conference here at Agartala, the DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb said, “Over 50000 posts are lying vacant in various government departments in Tripura, where 12,190 posts are lying vacant under education sector, 7675 posts lying vacant under Health department, 4328 posts lying vacant under PWD and at least 7515 posts of police are lying vacant under the Chief Minister’s Home department.”

Citing the figures, Deb said that around 31708 posts out of over 50000 posts are lying vacant in the departments of the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.

Castigating the government over rising rate of unemployment in Tripura, he further said that the education sector of the state is turning worst, where 2167 government schools are running without Head Masters.

He alleged that the government has failed to ensure adequate employment opportunity for the qualified youths of the state.

On the other hand, the DYFI state secretary Nabarun deb slammed the government over failing to bring a control over the drug menace in the state. He said that the government, which is putting effort in opening rehabilitation centres across the state, have failed to arrest the kingpins behind the drug menace.
