Agartala, April 10: Rangacherra, a small village in the West Tripura district under Mohanpur R D Block has embarked on a journey to become the state’s first solar powered village.

The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath escorted by senior officials of Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) paid an inspection visit to the village on Thursday and said that 600 families of the village shall remain dependent on solar energy for their daily power requirements.
