Agartala: April 03: Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, leader of the Tipra Motha party, addressed a public rally in Udaipur, emphasizing the importance of unity within the party to secure governance in Tripura by 2028. He urged the Tiprasa community to continue their collective fight for their rights and aspirations.

During his speech, Debbarma criticized opposition leader Jitendra Choudhury for publicly opposing Tipra Motha while failing to challenge former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on issues affecting the Tiprasa people. He highlighted the longstanding unfulfilled demands of the community, including language and development rights, which he claimed have been overlooked by successive governments, including Congress, the Left Front, and the BJP.

Debbarma accused the CPM of engaging in divisive politics over the past 25 years without contributing to the community’s development. He reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for the rights of the Tiprasa people, stating that his existence is deeply tied to their cause. Additionally, he issued a warning to the interim government in Bangladesh, asserting that any aggression against Tripura would lead to the creation of Greater Tipraland.

The leader called for unity among the Tiprasa people to counter attempts to divide them and achieve their rightful demands. He pledged unwavering support to the cause, particularly for the younger generation, and criticized the lack of action by opposition leaders on critical issues such as education and language rights.
