Agartala: April 23: The Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress recently submitted a deputation to the Director General of Police (DGP), expressing concerns over the state of women’s safety in Tripura. The Congress leaders highlighted statistics on crimes against women, including incidents of rape and murder, and called for immediate action against the accused in these cases.

The leaders criticized the current administration, citing inefficiencies and alleged failures in governance. They also raised concerns about the politicization of the police and administrative systems, which they believe has contributed to the worsening situation. The Mahila Congress warned of larger protests if stringent measures are not implemented to address these issues.
