Agartala: May 23: The youth organizations Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) have put forth seven key demands aimed at improving public safety and social issues. These include strengthening law and order, enforcing stricter measures against drug abuse, and implementing effective strategies to control road accidents.

A delegation from the two organizations met with the Director General of Police to present their concerns, seeking proactive steps from authorities.

Speaking to the media, DYFI State Secretary Nabarun Deb highlighted growing insecurity among citizens due to rising incidents of theft and robbery. He criticized the government for not taking adequate measures to safeguard young people from drug addiction and emphasized the need for urgent improvements in public safety, crime prevention, traffic management, and anti-drug initiatives.

The organizations hope their demands will prompt swift action to address these pressing issues.
